FAQ
Questions we are asked
If yours is not here, ask it directly — we answer plainly.
How do you price work?
Fixed-scope projects are quoted as one price against an agreed specification and billed at milestones. Retainers and augmentation are billed monthly by reserved capacity. We avoid hourly billing for delivery work, because it rewards taking longer.
How long does a project take?
A focused first release is typically six to twelve weeks from kickoff. Discovery takes one to two weeks and produces the estimate, so you have a real number before committing to the build.
Who owns the code and the IP?
You do, entirely, from the first commit. Repository, infrastructure and third-party accounts are created in your name. There is no licence to buy out and nothing held back as leverage.
Can you work with our existing team?
Yes. We work in your repository, under your review process, and in your standups where that helps. Team augmentation exists for exactly this.
What happens after launch?
Every project ends with documentation, a handover session and thirty days of support included. After that you can continue on a retainer or take it in-house — we plan for both.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, before any commercial detail is discussed. We can work from your template or provide one.
How do you handle time zones?
We agree a fixed daily overlap window with your team and keep to it, covering European and US East Coast business hours. We would rather commit to a window we hold than promise to be always on.
Can you take over an existing codebase?
Usually — that is what an audit is for. We assess it first and tell you honestly whether extending it or replacing it is cheaper. Sometimes the answer is that your current team should keep it.
Do we have to use your technology stack?
No. We default to Next.js and TypeScript because that is what we build fastest and most safely in, but we work in your stack when you have one and a reason for it.
How do we get started?
Book a call — an hour, no charge, and you will leave with a view on scope and rough cost even if we never work together.
